A New View. A New Year.

December 30, 2024

One of my favorite songs as January approaches is, “This Year” by JJ Heller.

Her lyrics get me reflecting on what has been and thinking of what’s to come.

Do you start pondering the upcoming year as the last few days on the calendar dwindle?

I do.

I love the idea of mapping out the possibilities.

I like writing down my goals and working towards them.

I enjoy reflecting back on what I accomplished and what I’d like to do differently (or never again).

I took some time to fill out the Recognition & Reflection Guide - an intentional pause so I can truly give myself the time to think about each prompt, each space deserves a moment in the spotlight. Join me and take a few minutes to reflect.

The new year is just that…NEW.

I’ve been thinking about “the new” I want 2025 to hold, knowing I need to be intentional to gain a new perspective and maintain a grateful heart.

So, inspired by JJ’s lyrics, this year…

I am looking ahead - future focused with love and compassion. Leaving the shame, guilt, judgment, and “should haves” behind.

Regret will not move forward into this year, it has no place here. I cannot change what has happened but I can make different choices to produce different outcomes. I can hold my hands open and trust what happens is exactly what is supposed to happen, regardless of my expectation.

I am going to give myself permission to dream and to step fully with bold confidence into who I was created to be, without reservation or condemnation.

I’m not going to concern myself with the opinions of others or their expectations - this one gets me all the time. I am going to just be me and walk in the path and purpose set before me and encourage others to do the same.

I will pivot and grow. I know I will make mistakes, but they will be the stepping stones to get me to the end result. I will learn and readjust along the way knowing every circumstance has a purpose for my good.

I will choose to see the good, the blessings, the positivity in each situation because I believe beauty can and does come from ashes when we give it to God.

What do you want 2025 to hold for you?

Who do you desire to be in 2025?

Write it down.

Really, take the time to sit down and write out the dreams, the goals, “the new” you want to try, the old you want to leave in the past, the anticipation of hope for the unexpected good just around the corner.

2025 is a New Year with a New View.

We might not know what this year holds for us, but we can set goals, dream, and live each day with intentionality.

We’re here to guide you as you determine what that might be and how to make it happen. Coaching is an unexpected blessing we discovered and now we have the privilege of sharing it with others.

Happy New Year!

We're hoping it is the best one yet!
